I hunt on public land and I used to gobble along with my hen calls so the real gobbler would think he had competition.  Two times I called in other hunters and almost got shot on one of those occasions!  In the turkey world, gobbling is used to call in hens so the practice is of questionable value and could cause a serious accident.  Don't do it unless you are sure who is hunting on your place!  Jim from Chesterfield
