It was the second night of our hog hunting trip to eastern Texas. The first evening was fairly uneventful except for the appearance of a little black piglet that nervously walked under our stand. Tonight it was cool and cloudy. As my cameraman, Clint Vanetta, and I watched three nice hogs feed in the distance, we wondered if they would make it close enough for a shot from our homemade blind in the brush. Right before dark they made their way over to us and I picked out the bigger of the three and made a complete pass through on this beautiful, (in my eyes), reddish brown hog. I can't believe how exciting this hunt was. My heart was pounding every bit as much as it has in the past on whitetails, turkeys, etc. I am looking forward the future BBQ!!
