Thursday night on Smithville
Fished last night in Burtons bait and tackle on Smithville lake. It was mostly the same as it has been for the past three to four weeks out there. No large sacks brought in with most people bringing one to three fish to the scales and few teams having those fish.
Last night managed three fish for a little over six lbs. The fish were all caught in 4 to 8 foot of water on brushhogs and space monkeys. (would give more but I have MSTA this weekend)
With fall approching I would think that the fishing should really start to pick up on the lake soon. The water has started to stabalize finally after all of the rain this year and draw downs which should help also.
There are still four Thursday nights left for Burtons and it is only $40 a team for the event. Pays two big bass and normally up to 5 or 6 places plus a first out of the money if you run a shoreline sticker on your boat. Come out and fish if you have the time. Will have a full breakdown of the weekend fishing for MSTA on Monday.
